Unique features of seven waterfalls
Each of the seven waterfalls has unique characteristics that make them special.
1. Bilušića buk is the only waterfall that is not affected by the energy use of the river. However, its structure has been the most affected throughout history - it was mined four times to prevent floods in Kninsko polje. Regardless, it has retained its beauty and charm.
2. You must definitely visit Brljan Waterfall in the spring. The contrast of silver water and lush vegetation at that time of year is most impressive.
3. The highest waterfall is Manojlovački waterfall with its 32.2 meters. Due to its splendor, it is also one of the most visited sights, and many say that it is the most beautiful waterfall in the Krka National Park.
4. Unlike the popular Skradinski buk, the Rošnjak waterfall remained intact due to its inaccessible position. Due to its simplicity and inaccessibility, the people called this lowest waterfall of the Krka National Park the Altar.
5. Miljacka waterfall is special because below it is the Miljacka hydroelectric power plant, which was once the strongest hydroelectric power plant in Europe. Nearby is the Miljacka II Cave, known for its many endemic animal species such as the human fish and the long-legged bat.
6. One of the most interesting and beautiful experiences in your visit to the Krka National Park will definitely give you the phenomenon of the "silver necklace" at the very beginning of the Roški waterfall, the sixth and penultimate waterfall. These are actually low cascades over which the river Krka flows.
7. The most famous and longest waterfall, Skradinski buk, is special for its unusual appearance, which can be attributed to 17 steps arranged at 800 meters in length, over which the common waters of the rivers Krka and Čikola overflow.
